Esteliz Gillett, DMSc, PA-C
Esteliz has been a Physician Assistant for 17 years. She loves working with people and is passionate about patient care, because every life counts. Her background includes pediatrics and family practice working with diverse cultures in Texas (Dallas Metroplex and Rio Grande Valley) and most recently, New Zealand!
She speaks fluent English, Spanish and Tagalog. Prior to the pandemic, she began volunteering to open a clinic in a rural Guatemalan Mayan village called Tabacal every year for 3 years. She has resumed her yearly visits in June of 2023. She is planning to go twice in 2024.
Her training includes a Doctor of Medical Science Degree (Advanced Clinical Practice) in 2021, Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008, and Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2006.
She is also a Certified Holistic Nutritionist. She loves to teach about proper nutrition to maintain one’s health and prevent chronic illnesses. She integrates holistic nutrition with medicine, adding spice to her practice.
She and her family (husband and son) enjoy being immersed in nature. They like to hike, swim, bike and scuba dive. She also enjoys singing, playing guitar, and figure skating. Their son graduated in May of 2023 from Southern Methodist University with a major in Civil Engineering and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. He was also commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army and a recipient of the Army ROTC Scholarship.
